Rule

Ha!
Can I laugh in your face?
Can I just get crazy?

What?
Do you have a problem?
Do I need to stay smiling?

No!
Do you think I should listen?
Do you want me to stop?

Why?
Is there a reason?
Do I need help?

Please!
Should I listen just ‘cause you’re older?
Is it possible for me to rule my world?
Am I entitled to my own feelings?

Are you really that special, when all you cause is pain?

Um, it sounds like you preparing witty banter for a fight against an older sibling, but it could be to a parent or other person who is older than you.

Love the single, monosyllabic words at the beginning of each stanza. It mimics normal speech very nicely.

i think in the beginning i was talking about my father, and then more so just controlling adults.

I think the first four single words were me almost shouting, and then the "Please!" was the adult trying to almost plead, and almost hope to control or calm me.

it's really about teenagers gaining control of their lives. saying you are not above me cause you've lived longer. and questioning the sometimes pointless demands of adults.
