Sweat blurs the vision of my eye,
digging grooves through
my sun-tired face.
A frown parallels sweat on my lip,
not far away,
a hose has that drip, drip, drip...
Emerald leaves mock shade,
billowing over chutes of bark, browned with age,
worn from anticipation, and moist
from the sky's desolation.
